Knowledge without grounding…

I wanted to comment on something the blogger irevuo said. They mentioned in their post about how they wrote 5 books in a year that one of the key aspects that fuelled them and kept them going was reading and absorbing as much information as possible.

I think for some people like me that may be a blind alley. I feel like randomly absorbing information from books is a recipe for mental inflation. At a certain point you have had all the insights you can from books and you need some practice that is more embodied like yoga or Tao chi otherwise you are setting yourself up for a path of self destruction.

Knowledge without some form of grounding can be quite dangerous.
