I was reading a history of China, then I though “nah don’t bother” and tossed it aside.
Why are so many academic books so frigidly boring? I am doing an online course in digital humanities and its dry as freaking dust.
Yet at the same time I feel like I am a kind of anthropologist.
Academia kinda pisses me off.
I went to this online seminar about ethnography and there was a HUGE Marxist subtext to the whole thing. Despite the fact most of the anthropologists earn like £80k a year salaries.
I dunno. I don’t get it.
